Monument Announcement

Spring-like weather reminds us of spring projects.  For those who have lost a loved one from early fall through the winter, the months that could remind one of placing the date of death on an existing monument.

I try to order Stone engravings automatically upon a passing; however, I’m not going to say one could have been missed.

Please be aware that I’ve spoken to C.J. Walters, and the engraving season cannot start until we have consecutive weeks of warm weather. Why?  The stencil must adhere to the marble so that when the marble is blasted it does not lift and compromise the engraving.  Walter’s monument prides themselves with matching the font exactly.  If the engraving requires more than the date of death Lisa will forward a sketch for approval.

Please do not hesitate to reach out by early May so we can assure that your monument is on the list. If I need to address cemetery issues, such as sodding, and most importantly if you want a new monument for May 30th we would need to address those A.S.A.P.

It is my privilege to be a liaison between the Monument Company, cemeteries, and private contractors responsible for grave opening, closing and restoration.

There is no need to panic, there is time.

As always thank you for your trust, and friendship.
