Virginia A. Bachart, 80, of Packer Township, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Forest Hills Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. A woman of deep faith and quiet kindness, Virginia was a lifelong resident of the Hazleton and Weatherly areas.
A graduate of Hazleton High School, Virginia dedicated much of her life to her community and her church. As a devoted member of St. Matthew’s Church in Weatherly, she shared her love for her faith by teaching Sunday School and served capably as the church treasurer for many years. Virginia was often found with a book in her hand, tending to her plants, or enjoying the company of her beloved cat, Frankie.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Norman A. Bachart; her sons, Robert N. Bachart (companion Christine Brozino,) and Carl R. Bachart (wife Tiffany.) She is also survived by her two grandchildren; Jacob Herring and Karlee Bachart, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Dorothy (Wagner) Evans; her children, Thomas G. Bachart and Betty Jane Herring; and her siblings, Bruce, Richard, and Mary Lee Evans.

A Celebration of Virginia's Life will be held on Friday January 16, 2026, at 11 o'clock A.M. at St. Matthews Church, 3153 Quakake Road Weatherly, Pennsylvania 18255. Visitation will proceed, beginning at 10 o'clock A.M.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
