Sally A. Burke, of Albrightsville, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Weatherwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr. in Weatherly.
Survived by her husband of 52 years, Anthony J. Burke; daughter, Mrs. Anne Marie Enggasser wife of Ed of Orland, PA, son, Brian Burke and his wife Katie of Severn, MD; 5 grandchildren.
A graduate of Marian Harding High School in Marian Ohio, Sally enlisted in the United States Air Force. A career Military wife, she worked numerous Civil Service jobs as a Military Clerk as she and her family followed the deployments of her husband.
Sally enjoyed knitting and doing crafts. She was catholic by faith.
Born in Kenton, Ohio on January 17, 1943 the daughter of the late Floyd, and Esther (Horne) Bear. Sally was also predeceased by sisters, Mrs. Betty Blair and Mrs. Elma Ringleman.
Funeral arrangement's have bee entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. of 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252. (570) 668-2550.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon on Monday January 2, 2017 from the funeral home. Friends shall be received at the funeral home from 11 o'clock A.M. until time of services.
Interment will be in Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pennsylvania.
