Obituary

It is with profound sadness and deep loss to announce the passing of Ronald (Ron) J. Gimbi, 92, of White Haven, PA.

Born to James O. Gimbi and Elizabeth Earnhart Gimbi in White Haven and grew up in Weatherly, PA.

He was a proud Air Force Veteran, serving time in England and Scott AFB. As a civilian, he had a long career at Tobyhanna Army Depot as an Electronic Equipment Inspector at which time he volunteered for duty in Vietnam because of his unwavering love for his country and his fellow soldiers.

He held great fondness for the people that he grew up with and met through his journey of life. He spoke often of how much he learned from the people that surrounded him.

He was a man of strong faith, principals, and convictions but never allowed his beliefs to overshadow his loving, caring and generous side.

Always wanting to learn he had many interests, aviation, golf, cars, reading, travel, sports, and gem and rock studies/collecting to name a few. He was well read and rounded and could converse on a multitude of topics.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Janice Hinkle Gimbi.

Sister-in-Law, Kim Butala, Brother-in-Law, Don Weston, many nieces and nephews.
