It is in deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ronald R. Bogda, 78 years old of Albrightsville, Pennsylvania. Born Friday, September 26, 1947 in Elizabeth, New Jersey he passed away peacefully in his home embraced by the love of his wife, family, and friends on Monday, August 17, 2026.
The son of the late Benjamin and Ann Marie (Pevonis) Bogda. Ronald was also predeceased in death by: sister, Carol Bogda and his favorite aunt Sophie Norton.
Ronald is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Denise (Denaro) Bogda; son, Ronnie Bogda, Jr. and his wife Lori; daughter, Rebecca (Bogda) Paulon; step-son, Carl Ivey III and his fiance Alyson Mullins; step-son, Dominick Ivey. Brother, Bernie Bogda and his wife Cindy; sisters, Lorraine Orlando, Diane Kelly wife of Kenneth. Brother-in-law, Dennis Denaro and his wife Valerie; sister-in-law, Diane Denaro. Lovingly called “Poppy” by his grandchildren, Jarad Bogda, Shaun Bogda, Andrew Paulon and his wife Jen, Samantha Paulon and her fiance Austin Callahan, Dominick Ivey Jr., Carl Ivey IV and his wife Alex, and Michael Ivey. Great grandchildren; Grayson, Addison, Alaina, Parker, and Carl Ivey V who were the absolute light of his life. He leaves behind dearly loved nephews, nieces, and so many special friends. He also took comfort in the companionship of his grand dog Vela Ann, as she was glued to his side.
A graduate of Edison High School in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Ron worked as a Postal Clerk in Rahway, New Jersey for 38 years; retiring in 2003. An avid NASCAR fan, his favorite driver was Jeff Gordon and he was a relentless Jets fan. Ron never missed a chance to visit Monmouth Park Racetrack which was like his second home.
Ron’s legacy of humor, perseverance, and love of his family and friends will be carried forward by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be greatly missed and forever loved and remembered.
