Roger L. Thomas, 85 of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away September 6, 2025, in St. Luke's Hospital, Coaldale, Pennsylvania.

Born July 18, 1940, in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of the late Reese and Ruth (Rossow) Thomas. Roger was also predeceased by; Kendra Thomas.

Roger received his Masters of Education from the University of Arizona and was a self-employed insurance adjustor. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Roger also was a a minister, paralegal, and a professor at the college level as well as substitute teacher at the high school level. Roger assisted in writing several bills in Pennsylvania legislature including Jury payment reform, human trafficking reform, and a death penalty reform for those who are mentally incompetent. Roger also wrote the by laws for the Wyoming republican party in 1977 which they still follow today. 

Surviving are; his beloved wife, Ruth W. (Kelso) Thomas; sons: Rodger Thomas of New Jersey, Ian Scott Kelso Thomas of Georgia; grandchildren, Gabriela and Brandon Thomas.
