Robert "Rob" C.
Nothstein, Jr.
March 31, 1953 – April 11, 2026
On Saturday, April 11, 2026, we said goodbye to a wonderful husband, father, brother, and grandfather, Robert "Rob" C. Nothstein, Jr., 73, of Andreas (East Penn Township), Pennsylvania, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of his life and wife of 47 years, Cindy L. (Weaver) Nothstein.
Born in Palmerton on March 31, 1953, he was the son of Betty Nothstein of Lehighton and the late Robert C. Nothstein, Sr..
A proud graduate of Lehighton High School, Rob was a talented mechanic who owned and operated Nothstein Small Engine Repair in Andreas. Before his retirement, he also dedicated many years of hard work to Viking Injector in Allentown and Barrett-Haentjens Manufacturing in Hazleton.
Rob was a devoted and active member of Ben Salem Church in Lehighton, where he faithfully served as the cemetery groundskeeper for many years. Outside of work and church, he was an avid outdoorsman who found great joy in hunting and fishing, and enjoyed trips to Disney to see Chip 'n' Dale and Mickey Mouse. Rob was also a fan of "Snoopy" a Peanuts character. Rob took pride in the fact that everything had a fix to the girl's broken Barbie Dolls, or a Toaster a neighbor was getting rid of.
In addition to his beloved wife, Cindy, Rob often said his greatest accomplishment was his children and grandchildren. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his family: daughters, Amy L. Lusch wife of Terry, Robyn Stine wife of Mark, Katie Nothstein, Becky Cannon wife of John; sisters, Barbara Snowberger wife of Cliff, and Brenda Rex wife of David; brother, Brian Nothstein. He was the proud grandfather of 8 cherished grandchildren, Brandon Lusch, Kyra Lusch, Ethan Lusch, Lukas Huffnagle, Alexander Huffnagle, Kaydence Hartranft, Faith Hartranft and Olivia Hartranft. Many nieces and nephews also survive Rob.
Rob was also predeceased by; sister-in-law, Janice Nothstein; niece, Sarah Nothstein; nephew, Andrew Nothstein.
