Richard C. “Rick” Snyder, 73, of Summit Hill, passed away on June 30, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. Born on October 12, 1952, in Palmerton, Pennsylvania, Rick was the beloved son of the late Stanley and Betty (Schock) Snyder.

Rick graduated from Panther Valley High School with the Class of 1970. With deep pride and a sense of duty, he served his country in the United States Navy. His commitment to service was further evident through his membership in the Summit Hill Legion Post 316, where he was a dedicated member for fifty years.

Professionally, Rick found his calling at the Tobyhanna Army Depot, where his hard work and integrity left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike.

Rick was known for embracing the joys of life. He found happiness in the outdoors, especially through hunting and fishing, and spent many leisurely hours on the golf course. The thrill of casino visits brought him cheer, and he was a loyal and enthusiastic supporter of Penn State athletics.

Rick is survived by his devoted sister, Judy, wife of Robert Fredericks of Summit Hill; his niece, Mallary Fredericks of Summit Hill. His memory will be held dear by all who had the privilege to know him. Rick was preceded in death by his nephew, Ryan Fredericks.

A graveside service to honor and remember Richard C. Snyder will take place at Zion Stone Church Cemetery of West Penn Township on Wednesday July 8th at 11am with full military honors.
