Mr. Norman D. Schaeffer 83 yrs of age of 1760 West Penn Pike New Ringgold, died January 24, 2006, at Gnaden Huetten Hospital, Lehighton, Pa.
Born in West Penn Twp. the son of the late Earl and Emma (Blessing) Schaeffer.
A WWII Army veteran having served in the Pacific and Asian Theater's, Norman maintaned membership in the Andreas V.F.W. and Lehighton Legion,while serving on the Board of Directors Grundsow Lodge #8 Andreas, Pa. Owner of Norman Schaeffer Busing, having provided School Bus transportation to the Tamaqua Area School Dist. for 26 years.
Married to the former Velma Hoppes for 59 years, they have two sons: Eugen D. and his wife Linda and Dennis L and wife Judy. Surviving siblings Carl Schaeffer and Marion Smith. Six Grandchildren, and Three Great Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by Brothers Jeremiah and Leon, and a Sister Mrs. Edna Zimmerman.
Funeral Services: Robert S. Nester F.H., Inc. 2066 West Penn Pike Route 309 New Ringgold, Pa. 17960 January 27, 2006 11 o'clock AM, with the Rev. Joyce H. Pfeiffer officiating.
