Miguel A. "Mike" Aponte

Miguel A. Aponte "Mike", 60, of Tamaqua, Pa formerly of Abonito, Puerto Rico, passed away in October 7, 2026.

Born on June 9, 1966, in Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Vicente Aponte and Aida L. Santiago. Miquel was also predeceased by; siblings, Jose A. Rivera, Ivette Rivera, and Omayra Rivera.

Miguel was a high school graduate and worked as a logistics technician for Highwood USA.

He was a devoted father, grandfather, and brother who cherished the time spent with his family.

Surviving are his loving children, Denise Rivera, Luis Rivera, Jonathan Rivera, Miguel Rivera, Adam Aponte, Anthony Aponte, and Bella Grace Aponte; and 12 grandchildren; siblings, Jose Rivera, Maria Rivera, Rachel Rivera, Eclaniz Rivera, Francisco Rivera, Liz N. Rivera, and Liz A. Rivera.

Miguel will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and the memories he leaves behind. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 655 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.

A viewing will be held Wednesday October 14th from 1-3 pm with a funeral service at 3pm.
