Mr. Melvin C. Steigerwalt, age 84, of Walnut Lane Andreas, Pa., died Friday, July 8, 2011, at Hometown Nursing Home in Tamaqua.
Melvin, was a member of the Tamaqua Congregation of the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall. He retired from True-Value of Allentown, Pa.. .
Born in West Penn Twp., he was the son of the late Charles and Alberta (Stahler) Steigerwalt.
He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Mrs. Elsie M. (Querengasser) Steigerwalt;
One Son,
Titus Steigerwalt of Andreas;
Two Sisters,
Katherine ( Steigerwalt) Brittain wife of Joseph of New Ringgold, Melva (Steigerwalt) Dunn wife of Edward of Andreas;
One Brother,
Earlin Steigerwalt and his wife Carol of Fort Myers, Fla.;
Preceded in death by brothers, Kermit, John, and Marvin Steigerwalt.
Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, Pa.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 3:00 PM at the Tamaqua Congregation Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall 714 Golf Rd., Tamaqua, Pa.
