Maryann Marton, 85, of Lehighton, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, at Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on December 3, 1940, in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Freda (Freeman) Jobrey.

Maryann was a devoted homemaker throughout her life and was previously associated with the High and Lite dairy. She was a faithful member of Jehovah’s Witnesses, attending congregations in both Tamaqua and Lehighton.

Maryann was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andrew J. Marton, and her son, Chris S. Marton.

She is survived by her sons, David Marton and Brian A. Marton and his wife, Cissie, of Dauberville, PA. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Jacqulyn and her husband Zebadiah, Hunter, Harrison and his wife Eden, Brooke, Matthew, and Ashley. Maryann is further survived by her siblings, including Carol Emery, Michael, Robert and Richard Jobrey .In addition to her parents, husband, and son, she was preceded in death by siblings Jack and Doris Breyan. 

Maryann will be remembered for her quiet strength, devotion to her faith, and the love she had for her family. She found joy in simple moments and leaves behind a legacy of kindness and care that will not be forgotten.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
