Marvella B. "Betty" Duda

Marvella B. "Betty" Duda, mother, and nana, 90 years of age of 2069 West Penn Pike New Ringgold, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, May 7, 2016, at home while in the loving care of her family.
Widow of the late John Andrew Duda, Betty is survived by; sons, John Duda of Lansford, Richard Duda and his wife Linda of Shellhamersville daughters, Mrs. Jean Miller wife of Ronald of New Ringgold, and Mrs. Theresa Bernheisel wife of Willie with whom she resided; grand children, Lisa, Jessica, Candy, Ronny, Robin and adopted grandson Gregory; great grand children, Dustin, Allison, Zachary, Lucas, Molly, Landon, Madelyn, and Olivia.
Born Friday, July 3, 1925 in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Guy, and Ameda Maude (Hoppes) Welsh. Betty was predeceased by sisters, Mrs. Anna Mae Fritz, Mrs. Frances Jones, Miss. Darlene Welsh, Mrs. Edith Moore; brothers, Carl, Arthur, and Elwood Welsh.
A member of Zion Stone Church of West Penn Twp., Betty enjoyed doing word puzzles, playing cards, and was an excellent seamstress having made much of her children's clothing.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. of 2066 West Penn Pike New Ringgold, Pennsylvania 17906. (570) 386-5884.
A funeral service will be held at 7 o'clock PM on Tuesday May 10, 2016 at the Funeral Home, Rev. Kenneth T. Melber, Jr. to officiate.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at Robert S. Nester Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. , 2066 West Penn Pike , New Ringgold, Pennsylvania.
Private interment at Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
