Obituary

Marlin Lamont Weyant, 67, of Tamaqua, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Annette (Palya) Weyant.

Born on June 3, 1958, in Bedford, PA, Marlin was the cherished son of the late Dorsey Lamont and Isabelle Jane (Bilger) Weyant. He lived a life filled with dedication and hard work, spending many years employed by Matola Paving as a truck driver.

Marlin was a man of many interests, each reflecting his vibrant personality. He found joy in the great outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting, or going to the shooting range. His passion for adventure also extended to riding motorcycles and walking with his beloved dog. Additionally, he had a knack for tinkering with everything, finding satisfaction in repairing and improving items around him. In quieter moments, Marlin enjoyed watching television, which provided him a chance to unwind and relax.

He is survived by his children: Marlin Anthony Weyant of Mt. Carmel, Lee Roland Weyant of Tamaqua, and Amanda Mae Collins of Fayetteville, NC. Marlin was also a proud grandfather to all of his grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to his life.

As the family mourns the loss of a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, they invite others to share their condolences and cherished memories online.

Services will be private, arranged at the convenience of the family, honoring the memory of Marlin Lamont Weyant, whose spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
