Maria R. Geronimo, 76, of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 2, 2026, at Edenbrook of Greenwood Hill in Pottsville.

Born on January 14, 1950, in Salerno, Italy, Maria was the daughter of the late Domenico and Anna (Cascetta) Ricci.

A devoted homemaker, Maria dedicated her life to caring for her family and creating a warm and loving home. She was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing cards and bingo and spending time with those she loved. Her family was the center of her life, and she especially cherished the moments shared with her children and grandchildren.

Maria is survived by her loving sons, Vito, husband of Sarah Geronimo and Marcello, husband of Lisa Geronimo ; her sister, Anna Ricci and her husband Giuseppe Schiavone and her brother Massimo Ricci, husband of Marilena Pellegrino, her cherished grandchildren, Gabriella, Adrianna, and Ryan, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by several siblings.

Maria will be remembered for her love of family and friends, her Italian heritage, and the warmth and kindness she shared with those around her.

A Memorial service will be held Tuesday November 10 at 6 pm from the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 655 East Broad Street, Tamaqua. A visitation will be held from 4-6pm at the funeral home.
