Lucille (Coppola) Lopresto, 85, from Tamaqua, PA passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital in Orwigsburg, PA. Lucille was born on November 24, 1940 to James M Coppola and Elizabeth (Lombardo) Coppola.She was preceded in her passing by her husband, Guido Lopresto and her son, Christopher Lopresto.

Lucille leaves behind her daughter, Elizabeth (Lopresto) Confer and her husband, Bruce O. Confer. She was the proud "nana" of two granddaughters who survive her, Marlo (Confer) Spilker, wife of Brock Spilker, and Laine O Confer, partner of Collin Potter. Lucille is also survived by two beautiful, great granddaughters, Arliss Elizabeth Spilker and Thea Frances Spilker, who loved their "nanny" very much. Lucille is also survived by siblings, Joann Pretti, James M Coppola Jr., and Christine Thomas as well as sisters-in-law Joanna Seckella and Marie Damian (Frank) and brother-in-law Charles Lopresto plus many nieces and nephews.Lucille was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, “nanny", and friend to many..

From an early age, Lucille's dedicated heart and soul were evident in the way she cared for her family, beginning with her younger siblings or later with her own children and grandchildren. She was a proud woman who enjoyed sharing her family’s accomplishments and joys with everyone and anyone.Lucille spent time engaging in all of the activities that she enjoyed. Most of her free summer moments were reserved for time at the Bungalow pool, often with her granddaughters, sporting that Bungalow tan by the end of each summer. Lucille was an avid reader, always looking for her next romance novel to enjoy.

While she worked hard, she also appreciated the opportunity to relax; sharing the advice with her family to always take time after a long day to, "sit in the chair for a few minutes".It could also be said that you'd never leave Lucille's house hungry. She relished in making meals, snacks, or just a simple "coffee and cake". Her meatballs were unmatched, ruining that dish for anyone who ate it elsewhere after trying hers. Everything Lucille did was in style. Her closet was always updated and she enjoyed dressing for any occasion, especially for her Saturday nights out dancing with Guido.

As a grandmother and great-grandmother, Lucille shined. She loved her girls and prioritized any opportunities to have sleepovers, shop, go to dinner, or just slowing down to play cards and have tea parties. Lucille valued family, ensuring that as major life changes occurred, she was there - making the trip, attending the event, learning something new. Additionally, Lucille was dedicated to her faith. As a life-long Catholic she was a member of St. Jerome’s Parish, and currently of St John XIII, Tamaqua. Lucille was also a member of the first graduating class of the formal Marian Catholic High School in 1958.

Lucille brought a bright and unique light to this world that was seen in her beautiful eyes. She will be deeply missed.
