June Virginia Adams

It is with deep appreciation for a life well lived that we announce the passing of a remarkable woman June Virginia Adams at the age of ninety-nine. She passed peacefully in her sleep, leaving behind a legacy defined by resilience, warmth, and enduring curiosity. Having witnessed nearly a century of change, she embraced life fully, finding joy in both its simplest and most meaningful moments.

She had a particular love for word puzzles, often spending hours sharpening her mind and delighting in the challenge. Time spent with family was especially meaningful to her. June spent over a decade living with her daughter and best friend Sharon in Weatherly. Eventually moving with Sharon to Saint Francis, Wisconsin in 2022. June held a special fondness for her son Doug and his homemade cooking—most notably his cookies, which never failed to bring her comfort and happiness. She also had a spirited side, as a devoted fan of Chuck Norris and the television series Walker, Texas Ranger. In a poignant twist of fate, it is noted that Mr. Norris passed on the same day, a coincidence she may have found both surprising and fitting.

Born into a family of six siblings, she experienced the richness of a large and close-knit household. June is preceded in death by her husband James Adams, her son Burton and five of her siblings Lester, Mervin, Gene, Dorothy Young and Gertrude Kimmel. She is survived by one remaining sibling – Helen Kimmel. June’s daughter Sharon Halechko, son Douglas Adams and daughter in law Anna Mae Adams along with grandchildren John Halechko and husband Marc, Lisa Cerullo and husband Steve, Drew Adams and partner Amanda and great grandchildren Gianna and Julian Cerullo, and Noah and Jaxon Adams are mourning her passing along with many loved ones whose lives she touched. Her presence, wisdom, and quiet strength will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A celebration of June’s life will be held on her 100th birthday – October 14th 2026 at Salem U.C.C. 330 First Street Weatherly, Pennsylvania 18255. A visitation will occur from 11:30 A.M. with services starting at 12:30 P.M .
