Mr. Joseph T. "Bomber" Derzak, age 84, of Coaldale, Pa., died Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at St. Lukes Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale.

Catholic by faith, Joseph was a member of the former SS. Cyril & Methodius R.C.C. of Coaldale.

Bomber, served in the Army during WWII. He worked for Lehigh Coal & Navigation at the #14 Colliery in Coaldale.

He was a lifetime member of the Coaldale Rod & Gun Club, and was a member of the Coaldale American Legion.

Born in Coaldale, the son of the late John and Helen (Surdak) Derzak.

He is survived by his

One Sister,
Helen (Derzak) Horoschak Coaldale;

Preceded in death by his wife, Catherine "Bay" (Davis) Derzak; sister, Mrs. Theresa Pushcarovich.
