James W. Hain

James W. Hain 92 years of age of New Tripoli passed away suddenly on Friday October 17, 2025 in South Tamaqua.

Born in Walker Township, Tamaqua on June 2, 1933 the son of the late James E. and Esther (Houser) Hain. Jim was also predeceased by; his wife of 59 years, Kay E. (Schmerfeld) Hain; son, Timothy J. Hain; sisters, Eleanor Brode and Catherine Brode.

Jim is survived by nephew, Gene Brode and wife Theresa Brode of Tamaqua; sister, Edna Banditelle; companion, Joan Houser, and many nieces and nephews.

A Tamaqua High School graduate, Jim served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. He attended Penn State University Allentown Campus and retired from Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent in 1989. Jim was a member of the Weisenberg Lutheran Church of New Tripoli, West Lehigh Areas Lions Club having been awarded Melvin Jones Recipient, 50 year member of the Porter Lodge #284 F&A.M. Northampton, and Forest T.C.L. of Quakertown, New Tripoli Council #204 Jr. O.U.A.M.

 A Celebration of Jim's Life will be held on Friday, October 24 at 11 o'clock A.M.
