George Robert Graaf, 97, of Weatherly, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 2, 2026.

Born on February 2, 1929, in Weatherly, he was the son of the late Nelson Graaf and Mable (Stauffer) Graaf.

George was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent his career with Conrail as a railroad foreman. He took great pride in his work and the life he built for his family. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the United States Army.

He was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church. In his free time, George enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—hunting, fishing, gardening, chopping firewood, and watching the Philadelphia Phillies. He also had a knack for working on small engines, especially lawn mowers.

George was married to his beloved wife, Iona (Bond) Graaf, for 76 years.

He is survived by his children: Dwayne Graaf and his wife Cheryl of White Haven; Debra Bertolino and her husband Michael of Schwenksville; and Michele Boretski of Drums. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Michael Graaf and his wife Ashley, Matthew Boretski, and Brooke Boretski.

He is further survived by his siblings: Russell Graaf and wife Petrina of Weatherly and Dolores Powers of Florida.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Graaf, and his sister, Betty Hoffman.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 10th, with a viewing from 9:30 to 11:00 AM and services at 11:00 AM. Military honors will be accorded. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
