Eric M. Griggs, age 38, of Tamaqua, passed away on April 8, 2026, at Tower Health Hospital in Reading, Pennsylvania. Born on August 20, 1987, in St. Louis, Missouri, Eric was the beloved son of Delmar W. and Vicki A. (Ward) Griggs of Tamaqua.

Eric’s life was marked by devotion to his faith and community. He was affiliated with Calvary Baptist Church in Frackville, where his faith served as a foundation throughout his life. Eric’s educational journey began with his graduation from Abeka Christian Academy, after which he pursued further studies at Liberty University, demonstrating his commitment to learning and personal growth.

Professionally, Eric applied his talents in retail management at Hess Oil, contributing his skills and dedication to the company, as well as working with BRL Grocery’s. His work reflected a strong work ethic and a dependable character.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Eric cherished the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed reading, often immersing himself in books that expanded his horizons and nurtured his interests. Additionally, he found joy in playing video games, a pastime that brought relaxation and entertainment.

Eric leaves behind his loving parents, Delmar W. and Vicki A. Griggs, and his brother, Christopher Drysdale, of Tamaqua. His family members remain in deep sorrow yet take comfort in the memories they hold. A Funeral Service to honor Eric’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 15, at 11 o'clock A.M.., from the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home Calling hours will begin at 9:30 a.m. and continue until the time of the service. The interment will be scheduled at a later date.
