David Owen Scheitrum

David Owen Scheitrum, 71 years of age, formerly of New Ringgold, passed away on September 15, 2026, at Jefferson Medical Center Ranson West Virginia.

Born October 8, 1954, he was the son of Ralph Scheitrum and Emmalou (Herring) Scheitrum. David was also predeceased by; grandson Myles Scheitrum; great grandson, Baby Robbie

A graduate of Tamaqua High School, David was a self-employed contractor and worked construction before taking a position with Zaprazny's Inc. in New Ringgold where he worked for over 30 years many years.

David enjoyed swimming in his family’s pond, and listening to Roy Orbison.

David is survived by; wife, of 53 years, Bonnie Lucille (Major) Scheitrum, whom he married June 30, 1973; children, David O. Scheitrum Jr. and his wife Kelly, Holly N. Powers, wife of Jeffrey; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Ashley, Katlyn, Kasey, Jesse; great-grandchildren, Tilden, Karmen, Jonah, Kazmina; brothers Benjamin Scheitrum and his companion Nancy Williams, Kevin Scheitrum.

David will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his years of hard work, and the many memories he created with those who knew and loved him.
