David E.
Carroll
Jan 15, 1956 — Jul 2, 2026
David E. Carroll, 70, of Lake Hauto, passed away on July 2, 2026, in his home.
Born on January 15, 1956, in Coaldale, Pennsylvania, David was the beloved son of the late Eugene and Lucy (Martin) Carroll. Growing up in a close-knit household, he formed lasting bonds with his family and friends that shaped the course of his life. David completed his education at William Allen High School, where he built enduring friendships and set the stage for the commitments and values that would define his adult years.
David served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army, embodying a deep sense of duty and patriotism. This spirit of service continued throughout his life, most notably in his professional career as a truck driver for J.E. Morgan Knitting Mills. Through his many years behind the wheel, David was widely known for his unyielding commitment, work ethic, and personal integrity. Colleagues and friends alike recognized and respected the diligence he brought to every aspect of his role.
Above all, David found his greatest fulfillment in the time spent with his loved ones. For thirty years, he shared a devoted and loving partnership with his wife, Carol Carroll. Together, they built a foundation of mutual respect, understanding, and companionship that stands as a testament to their bond. David was a proud father to his son, David Carroll of Tamaqua, cherishing the special connection they shared. His grandchildren, James and Madison, were the joy of his later years, bringing immense pride, laughter, and delight to both him and his family.
David also maintained cherished relationships with his sibling, Nancy, wife of David Rinker of McAdoo. Their shared memories, family traditions, and steadfast support for one another were sources of comfort and happiness over the years. He was preceded in death by his siblings Bruce Carroll and Mary Brode, whose memories remained dear to him throughout his life.
In his leisure, David enjoyed the simple pleasures—spending time playing darts or pool and listening to music. These pastimes reflected his easygoing nature and his love for camaraderie and relaxation, bringing joy not only to himself but also to those privileged to share in these moments.
Those who knew David E. Carroll will remember him for his diligence, loyalty, and deep love for his family and friends. While his physical presence will be deeply missed, the memories and values he imparted will continue to live on in those whose lives he touched.
