Cynthia M. "Cyndy" Maggs, age 70, of Tamaqua, passed away peacefully at her home on November 12, 2025, with her loving family by her side. Cyndy was the cherished wife of the late Merl W. Maggs I, who preceded her in death in 2022.

Born on July 24, 1955, in Fleetwood, PA, Cyndy was the beloved daughter of the late Victor and Adeline (Dunkleburger) Snyder Sr. Throughout her life, she embraced her role as a homemaker, dedicating herself to nurturing her family and creating a loving environment for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Cyndy treasured the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, instilling in them warmth and kindness that will resonate across generations.

A devoted member of Beckers St. Peter's in Molltown, Berks County, Cyndy actively participated in her community. She served with pride as a member of the Oley Fire Department, contributing her time and effort to work alongside the fire police, demonstrating her commitment to the safety and well-being of those around her.

Cyndy is survived by her children: Merl W. Maggs II, who is married to Jessica, both of Tamaqua; Jenny S. Mazur and her significant other Christopher Mease, also of Tamaqua; Bobbi J. Snyder and her fiancé Augustus Cornish of New Ringgold; and Jeremy Westwood of Tamaqua. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Madalyn (Zach); Shaun (Emily); Cheyenne, #1 (Jason); Salena (Austin); Kelly (Jay); David (Amanda); McKayla; Emily (Zach); and Jose Carabello. In addition, she was blessed with great-grandchildren: Myles, Carson, Bryce, Colton, Shelby, Paisley, Kayhlani, and Baby Maggs.

She is lovingly remembered by her siblings, Victor Snyder Jr. and his wife Beverly of Blandon; Thomas Snyder and his wife Pat of Oley; and Samuel Snyder and his wife Lori of Ephrata.

Cyndy was preceded in death by her daughter Merleen Maggs, granddaughter Angela and her great-grandchildren Dallas, Rylie, Nova Maggs, Baby Mazur, Kingsley, and Baby Perez.
