It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, Claudette M. Zarra, of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania who passed away peacefully on Monday, April 6, 2026, at Novant Health Hilton Head Medical Center on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina at 90 years of age.

Born Saturday, April 20, 1935 in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Joseph Dominic Albert and Germaine (Sauve) Marinier. Claudette was also predeceased by; her husband of 59 years, Armando J. Zarra who passed away on Nov. 6, 2018; sisters, Carmen Breslin, Jeannine M. Ryan.

Surviving are son, J. Mark Zarra and his wife Marie; daughter, Lisa G. Jones wife of Major [Ret] Robert Jones Jr.; grandchildren, Alexander A. Zarra and his wife Karen, Nicholas A. Zarra.; Katharine Smith wife of Christopher Smith,; Jennifer Rondolone wife of Vincent Rondolone; great grandchildren, Alexander Jace Zarra, Sofia Grace Zarra, Louis Jones Rondolone, Owen Lenox Smith. Many nieces and nephews also survive Claudette.

After graduating from the former St. Jerome High School in Tamaqua, Claudette earned her B.S. in Business Management from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia. She went to work for her father at Mar Stripping, Inc. and Mar Motors, Inc. and later managed the Livingston Club in Allentown for many years.

A devoted member of St. John XXIII R.C.C. in Tamaqua, she was deeply involved in her faith community, volunteering with the Rosary and Vincent DePaul Societies. She played a key role in founding the church's baby food drive and was a dedicated member of the cleaning crew. In her free time, Claudette loved golfing and gardening, and she cherished traveling alongside Armando for his various Lion’s Club events.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning May 2, 2026 from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.
