Clarence E. “Beetle” McGeehan, 66, formerly of Tamaqua, passed away unexpectedly on July 9, 2026, in Florida.
Born on November 19, 1959, in Coaldale, Pennsylvania, Clarence was the son of the late Maurice W. McGeehan and Marie (Hartranft) McGeehan.
He attended Tamaqua High School.Clarence worked as a truck driver and accumulated over a million miles behind the wheel throughout his career. His years of work reflected a life of dedication and hard work.Clarence had a love for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, Corvettes, and hard rock music. He especially enjoyed the freedom of the open road and had a great appreciation for classic sports cars and motorcycles. With the windows down, cruising down the road with his music turned all the way up, he loved sharing his passion for his vehicles with his friends and family.
Clarence loved his life and his family deeply and took every opportunity to express to others how much he loved his companion and children. Known for putting a smile on your face and sharing a good laugh, he always had a great story to tell.He is survived by his companion, Jinky Basillio; his daughter, Christy Berk and her husband, Adam; his son, Kory McGeehan, and his companion, Marla; his brothers, Maurice McGeehan and his wife, Sharima, and John McGeehan and his companion, Sherry; and his sister, Mary Karpa and her husband, Stephen; grandchildren, Harmony Berk and Zachary Berk, great grandchild Mason Berk, along with many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.He was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Pfeil, and brother-in-law, Robert Pfeil; and by his brother, Anthony “Antz” McGeehan.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., prior to the service. Interment will follow at Sky-View Memorial Park in Hometown.
