Christopher Ryan Snyder

Christopher Ryan Snyder, 48 years of age of West Penn Township Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Amcor Rigid Plastics where he has worked for over 20 years.

Born in Allentown on Friday, December 31, 1976 Christopher is survived by; mother, Virginia "Gini" ( Schlenker) Merritt; beloved wife of 16 years, Wendy E. (Young) Snyder; son, Jacob Young; daughter, Elizabeth M. Young; brother, Corey Snyder; sister, Christi Eidson and her husband CJ; nieces, Brianna Snyder, Riley Snyder, Magnolia Young, and Amelia Eidson.

Chris was predeceased by; father, Mark Snyder.

A Tamaqua Area High School graduate, Chris grew up as part of the Schlenker racing family from their days at Dorney Park Speedway to Mahoning Valley Speedway and loved every moment of his time spent at the races. His heart truly belonged to the USAC dirt track racing and was a very much beloved pastime for him. He was part of the Biasi Racing team and family for many years and loved helping out in the pit area every chance he could get. Chris was devoted to his family and enjoyed listening to music with friends and playing with his dogs Horton, a St. Bernard known as "Bubba" and Buster affectionately called "Boober". Chris would attest to not being a cat lover; however, no one told his four cats as they constantly sought his attention.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock P.M. from the funeral home.
