Catherine Yeager

Mrs. Catherine (Jones) Yeager, age 82, of Lansford, Pa., formerly of Coaldale, died Sunday, September 20, 2009, at St. Lukes Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale, Pa.

A Coaldale High School graduate, Catherine was a member of The United Methodist Church of Coaldale.

Catherine, had worked for Majestic Lamp in Coaldale, and Lansford as a Book Keeper.

Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late Jenkin and Elizabeth (Williams) Jones.

She is survived by her husband of Sixty-Three years, Harold A. Yeager;

Two Daughters,
Priscilla (Yeager) Mackovic wife of Peter of Coaldale,
Karen B. (Yeager) Penberth wife of Dwight of Lansford;

Two Sisters,
Miss Gwen Jones of North Carolina,
Priscilla (Jones) Winter of California;

One Brother,
Jenkin Jones and his wife Kitty of Pottsville;

Three grandchildren, Don Pfeifer, Dwight Penbeth, Jr., and Karen Evans;
Two great-grandchildren,Megan Pfeifer, and Abigail Evans

Preceded in death by brothers, David, Raymond, Jimmy, and Karl Jones; sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Bell, Mrs. Betty Housman, Mrs. Eleanor Horn, Mrs. Sarah Evans, and Mrs. Margaret Maloney;

Arrangements are being handled by Holmes - Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 200 East Bertsch Street, Lansford, Pa..

Memorial service will be at The United Methodist Church of Coaldale ,Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at 1 o'clock P.M., corner of 2nd and High Streets Coaldale, Pa., Rev. Burgess L. Gordon officiaiting.

Private interment, Sky-View Memorial Park Tamaqua.
