Carmen E.
Watts
December 10, 1943 – April 3, 2026
Carmen E. Watts passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, at the age of 82, in Weatherly, Pennsylvania. Born on December 10, 1943, in Guayama, Puerto Rico, she was the beloved daughter of the late Florencio and Guillermina (Rodriguez) Correa. From her early years in Puerto Rico to the life she later built in the Bronx, New York, Carmen carried with her a deep devotion to family, a quiet resilience, and a warmth that left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Carmen found happiness in life’s simple and meaningful moments. She enjoyed reading, challenging herself with word puzzles, caring for her cat Missy, and taking peaceful walks. Above all else, she treasured the time she spent with her family. Whether through shared laughter, heartfelt conversations, or quiet moments together, her greatest joy was being surrounded by those she loved. Her home and her heart were always open, offering comfort, care, and unwavering support.
She leaves behind a cherished legacy through her loving family. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Watts, and his wife, Ida; her beloved grandchildren, Krystina, Kenneth, and Cameron; and her great-grandchildren, Maison, Ryan, and Nicholas. She is also survived by her siblings Ada, Raymond, Harry, Jose, Milagros, Socorro, and Jorge, along with many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews, all of whom will continue to honor her memory.
Carmen was preceded in death by her daughter, Joan Watts, and her brother, Louie Correa. While her passing leaves a profound void, her family takes comfort in knowing she is reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her.
Carmen will be remembered for her gentle strength, her kindness, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. The values she instilled, the compassion she showed, and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Though she is no longer with us, her spirit endures—in the bonds of family, in the stories shared across generations, and in the love that continues to unite those she leaves behind.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Alzheimer’s research at https://www.alz.org/research
