Carissa L. Sandefer, 24 years of age of Lansford, Pennsylvania succumbed to her long illness of addiction on May 8, 2016, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Medical Center in Coaldale, Pennsylvania.
Born Monday, October 7, 1991 in Lehighton, Pennsylvania, she is the daughter of Todd Sandefer of McAdoo and Tanya Gould of Lansford. Carissa is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Diane Gould of Coaldale.
A Panther Valley High School graduate, Carissa was a cheerleader, and majorette in high school. She attended Empire Beauty School, and Lehigh County Community College.
Carissa enjoyed going to concerts, playing bingo and the companionship of her dog, and best friend Bella.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. of 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252. (570) 668-2550.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday evening May 12, 2016 from the funeral home at 6 o'clock P.M.
Friends will be received from 5:00 P.M. until time of services.
