Bonita "Bonnie" (Barbush) Urban, 71, of Weatherly, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.

Born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, on September 18, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Otto J. and Joan N. (Chisnell) Barbush. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nicholas O. Urban.

Bonnie is survived by her sons, Brad B. Boothe and his wife, Jennifer, and Jeremy H. Boothe; her brothers, Barry Barbush and his wife, Mary Beth, and John Barbush and his wife, Lisette; her grandchildren, Sara, Mackenzie, and Marshall; as well as nieces and nephews.

A graduate of Weatherly High School, Bonnie went on to study at Hagerstown Community College and dedicated years of service as a healthcare worker at Hazleton General Hospital and the Coatesville Veterans Hospital. Deeply committed to her hometown, she served on the Weatherly Area School Board for over three decades across multiple terms.

Methodist by faith, Bonnie held a lifelong connection to Centenary United Methodist Church, where she loved singing in the choir. She carried a deep appreciation for music throughout her life and would burst into song whenever the mood struck. Bonnie was proud of her Italian heritage and expressed her love through cooking for those around her. Above all, she cherished time spent with her wide circle of friends and the constant companionship of her faithful dog, Angel.
