Mrs. Betty G (Gillespie) Trowske, age 91, died Wednesday, August 2, 2006, at Hometown Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr. in Tamaqua, Pa. Formerly a resident of Jim Thorpe and Lansford, Pa.
She was a member of Member of the First Congregational U.C.C. Coaldale, Pa. / 1933 Lansford High School Grad. , matriculated to Penn State University obtaining a B.S. in 1938, Betty earned a Masters from the Pennsylvania Hospital of Philadelphia, Pa..
She worked in Chicago Il. were she owned Trowske Pharmacy, and previously was a registered Dietician at the Fort Howard Veterans Hospital in Maryland. She held membership in the American Dietetic Assoc.. .
Born in Lansford, she was the daughter of the late William Gillespie and the late Estelle (Monroe) Gillespie.
She is also survived by her
sister Mrs. Jean G Wildoner of Lansford
Preceded in death by her husband Edward J. Trowske July 28, 1988, and a brother William M. Gillespie
Arrangements are being handled by Holmes - Griffiths Funeral Home Inc., 200 E. Bertsch Str, Lansford, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday, August 7, 2006. Funeral service will be at Holmes - Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Monday, August 7, 2006 .
Interment will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Tamaqua, Pa.
