Agnes Rebecca Versailles, 92, who resided with her son in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 1, 2026.

Born April 26, 1934, in Owl Creek, Tamaqua, Agnes was the daughter of the late Jacob and Paula (Sittler) Zeart. She was a 1951 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School and worked for many years as a garment factory employee; following that she was employed by Tamaqua area middle and elementary schools.

Agnes was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Tamaqua. She enjoyed gardening, landscaping ,the outdoors, camping, and traveling. Her travels took her to China, Australia, Europe, Hawaii, and many other destinations. Agnes also enjoyed staying connected with friends and was involved with her class reunion committee.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Salla Jr, daughter, Patricia Salla Dolena; grandchildren, Shawn Clemens, Shannon Clemens and Shavonne Clemens and three great-grandchildren.

Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Versailles and a son Vincent Salla, along with her siblings brother, Dewey Zeart; sisters, Edith Zeart and Paula Sell;

A funeral service will be held Tuesday October 6th at 11am from the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, 655 East Broad Street, Tamaqua. A viewing will be held from 10-11 at the funeral home. Burial will by in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to a charity of choice.
