Born Friday, October 8, 1948 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania the son of the late Joseph, and Julia (Hegedus) Skripnek.
Surviving are; his wife of 31 years, Karen (Houser) Skripnek; son, Robert K. Goetz and his wife Shannon; grandchildren, Zander, and Katie.
A Tamaqua High School graduate, Philip worked as a pipe layer for Slusser Brothers construction. Philip was a WWII, and Indian War aficionado. He enjoyed building WWII airplane and war ship models. Philip was devoted to his cats.
