Michael F. Pogwist

March 20, 1968 - March 8, 2022

Michael F. Pogwist, 53 years of age, of East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Hazleton Campus. Born Wednesday, March 20, 1968 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania the son of the late Patricia A. (Heller) Pogwist.  Mike was also predeceased by; his beloved wife, Cari (Corneliussen) Pogwist.. Surviving are; his father, Michael Pogwist of Tamaqua;  son, Alex Pogwist of Hazleton;  daughter, Ali Rose Pogwist of Hazleton;  sister, Lisa A. Filloy wife of Robert of Tamaqua, and their sons, Nathan M., and Zachary R. Filloy. Catholic by faith, Mike was a 1986 graduate of Marian Catholic High School, Mike worked for Air Products & Chemicals until his disability.  Mike volunteered for the Tamaqua Ambulance Assoc., and Ryan Twp. Ambulance Assoc serving as an E.M.T.,  A devoted Flyers hockey, and Phillies baseball fan, Mike enjoyed Rock & Roll Music, and especially the band "Boston". An adoring, proud father, Mike's witty sense of humor and quick one-liners will be greatly missed. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the E.
