Michael J. "Magoo" Maguschak, 81 of Weatherly, Pennsylvania passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022, as a guest of Weatherwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Weatherly, Pennsylvania. Born Friday, November 20, 1940 in Beaver Meadows, Pennsylvania the son of the late Joseph, and Elizabeth (Chernasky) Maguschak. Michael was also predeceased by; his beloved wife, Ruth A. (Seibel) Maguschak on October 6, 2016; brothers, Elmer, Joseph, and Robert Maguschak; sister, Maryann Mikulca. Surviving are sons, Keith A. Maguschak and his wife Victoria of Weatherly, Brian M. Maguschak of Hazleton; daughter, E. Kim Havens and her husband David of Milton, VT; grandchildren, Jonathan and his wife Danielle, Elizabeth wife of Shawn, Anthony, Timothy, Thomas; great grandchild, Jackson. Many nieces and nephews also survive Michael. A Hazleton High school graduate, Michael was a member of the United Association of Plumbers Steamfitters and Pipefitters Local #524 for 45 years.. Michael enjoyed gardening, listening to music, dancing, and was an avid bowler. Michael was an associate member of the Citizens Fire Company of Weatherly where he enjoyed shooting pool. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services 211 First Street Weatherly, Pennsylvania. An Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy will be held from St. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church 119 Berwick Street Beaver Meadows, Pennsylvania 18216, at 10 o'clock A.M. on Wednesday January 26, 2022, Rev. James Demko to officiate. Future Interment St. Peter & Paul Byzantine Church Cemetery. A Celebration of Michael's life will be planned at a later time.
