James I. Wetzel

July 4, 1946 - December 16, 2021

James I. Wetzel, 75 years of age,  a lifelong resident of  Weatherly, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem.    Born Thursday, July 4,1946 in Hazleton, Pennsylvania son of the late Irvin, and Catherine (Rowlands) Wetzel.    A Weatherly High School graduate, James was a Penn State University graduate.  James worked as a chemist for Consolidated Cigar in McAdoo, and then as a safety advisor for the Co-Gen plant in McAdoo.  In retirement, James drove a school bus for the Weatherly School District. He was a tireless volunteer for many local charities and organizations.  A animal lover, James was devoted to his dogs, Brode, Rosie, and Rusty  Surviving are his cousins, John Beishline, and his wife Sharon of Still Creek who were his caretakers, Susan Strack of Jeansville, Maggie Minzola, of Jeansville, Shirley Novitsky of Milensville, and Beverly Brennan of Maryland    Arrangement entrusted to the Philip J.
