Ernest F. Swenson, 94 years of age, of Patterson Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at Heritage Hills Senior Living Center in Weatherly Pennsylvania. Born Friday, May 14, 1926 in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Ernest S., and Kathryn (Kellner) Swenson. Ernest was also predeceased by; his beloved wife, Helen Linda (Yemm) Swenson on August 6, 2011; brothers, Robert, and Jack Swenson. Surviving are son, Robert E. Swenson of Tamaqua; daughter, Alice L. Fennell wife of Tim of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Ryan Fennell and his wife Holly, Casey Fennell and her husband Jordan; sister, Betty Kochinsky of Eagleville. Many nieces and nephews also survive Ernest. A member of St. John U.C.C. of Tamaqua, Ernest retired from the U.S. Postal Service having delivered mail in Tamaqua for over 37 years. A member of the Tamaqua American Legion, Ernest enjoyed golfing, and was an ardent supporter of the Philadelphia Eagles, and Phillies. Ernest served honorably during WWII in the United States Army as a member of the 157th Infantry Division in Europe. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the E.
